Half a Century of Function A Retrospective Analysis of Tramonte Endosteal Screw Dental Implants that Lasted 50 and 36 Years. A Case Report
The longest running case in implantology in the world: two Tramonte implants, one 50 years old and the second one 38 into a woman just over 90. The first implant dates back to 1966 and is one of the very first titanium implants in the history of implantology. In fact, it was Tramonte to introduce titanium in clinical use and not, as many people think, Branemark, and not only titanium; Tramonte introduced many of the fundamental concepts that are worldwide recognized. Primates of Tramonte’s implantology are several, but this imposes itself to the world's attention with all the strength of his 50 years of function in a patient's mouth.
